| Bowen Motorsports is currently in preperation for the 32nd Annual Valvoline Australian Sprintcar Grand Prix at Tyrepower Sydney Speedway on the 26th of December.
The AGP, which is one of Speedway racing's most prestigious races of the year, will kick off what has been dubbed as the 'international season'. The first of 4 international events through out the 2011-12 Summer is shaping up to be an exciting one, with the best from both Australia and the USA set to compete. With the 2-week break after December 3rd's meeting, Bowen Motorsports is utilising the break to ensure the best possible outcome at the AGP. "The boys have been working hard in the shop, hoping for some great results over the Christmas period. The racing has been very competitive all year, but with the finishes we have had in recent weeks, I see no reason why we can't have both cars up the front" said a confident Rod Bowen, referring to the team's improvement of late. Both boys are slowly but surely creeping up the TSS Sprintcar Track Championship points table after being set back in the first 2 rounds of the season with both Spies Hecker Racing cars ending up with double DNF's. Roddy is eagerly looking forward to getting back on track after a great performance last time out, driving from the 22nd starting spot to finish a close 4th in a shortened 22-lap feature race. "We have had great pace lately, and I hope we can carry it into the boxing night race." Meanwhile, Toby can't wait to get back on track to resume his on-track improvement. "It's good to be consistently making feature races. The racing here in Sydney is so tough and it's only going to get tougher. Hopefully we can use our momentum and turn it into a strong result." Racing will start at 6pm, with Sprintcars set to hit the track at 7pm. More information can be found here.
